    Ever Since I Started Using CoolIris,I was in love with it.
    But the biggest problem is that it doesn't allow to view Local files/content i mean i wanna see my personal images in CooliriS
    which is certainly gonna be fixed in the near future .
    Untill than we can use what i made an software called CoolIris StandAlone
    Its an light weight Application.

    Just Browse the folder or paste the path to the folder which contains the images.
    Than it Show's All The possible Images,Just press CoolIris
    It will make 2 files in that directory

    named photos.xml and index.html

    and now u can see images in cooliris all standalone,from your pc.

    Sorry CoolIris i used your banner and favicon on my application,i know it has copyright.

    Also it may have bugs which i may have not noticed or you want some feature to be added do post them here.

    Again this is only an temporary solution untill CooLIris comes with the solution.
    I am not adverting anything .

    Note: When you see Use cooliris in Offline mode it may slow down as there are no thumbnails so i used the original images as thumbnail.

    Keep your fingers crossed. =-) We've heard everyone's feedback, and local browsing is one of the features we're currently looking at. Check our beta pages occasionally, and you may be pleasantly surprised.

    thanks i jst provided an temporary solution for standalone.
    forgot 2 mention de autorun wont work so ull need 2 press the cooliris i took the online copy of their javascript file of picslens.
    i jst got an email regarding the bugs i dont mind emails jst better post em here as its an cooliris application.

    Hi guys,
    I 100th the appeal to cooliris to make it into a desktop search independent tool (also more customizable).

    I think this can easily be the first tool to be used on all touch screens to browse quickly through ANY kind of file (just let
    me associate each unrecognized file type to one of the applications I installed for it) and let PDF, MS office and such
    common files be read as a preview (first page view).
    Next step is to be able to preview the first page of any program which is related through the 'customize' options, and enable double click to open the selected document using that software.

    Doesn't work for me

    My Firefox version is 3.5.4. After I browse the images directory and hit coolris, coolris frame launches in browser but with all black screen and no photos. The "view as 3D wall" also doesn't work.
